Milestone Reached: 2 Million Nematodes Imaged!

    🗓️ March 31st, 2026

It took 18 months to image our first 300,000 nematodes using the LIFE Monitor (our unique hardware and software combo). Just four months later, we hit 1 million. Now, only four months after that, we’ve crossed the 2 million mark! This rapid acceleration proves the power of our technology. While capturing this volume of images is incredibly time-consuming with traditional microscopy, these datasets are absolutely essential for identifying nematodes at all taxonomic levels. Each image adds to a growing understanding of soil life, bringing us one step closer to our mission to improve soil health. A massive congratulations to our lab biology team!

Akkerwijzer 'Data leiden tot inzicht, inzicht leidt tot handelen'

‘Data lead to insight, insight leads to action’

    🗓️ October 29th, 2025

A wonderful article about our work at Antonie in Soil Valley appeared in Akkerwijzer, the leading trade journal for arable farmers. We are developing a new standard for measuring soil health using AI. In doing so, we detect biodiversity with nematodes as the primary indicator. Living organisms that tell us an incredible amount about the state of the soil. Thanks to journalist Martin de Vries for the clear interview and to the editors of Akkerwijzer for the photography and publication.

Big News for Europe's Soils – and for Our Future!

    🗓️ April 18th, 2025

With a provisional agreement now in place, the EU is making a decisive move toward safeguarding one of its most crucial natural assets: the soil beneath our feet. The newly proposed Soil Monitoring Law, part of the EU Soil Strategy for 2030, lays the foundation for a harmonised, science-based soil health monitoring system across all member states. It aims to bring soil protection on par with existing EU laws for water, air, and marine ecosystems.
